Define FTP connection

From the Tools menu bar you can access to the FTP configuration setup.

Fill up the dialog box with the information provided by your internet provider or network administrator.

 

Provide the server name (or I.P. address), your user name and password, the port number (21 is the standard default value). If it is a secure connection check the Use SSL/TLS. By default the Passive Mode is checked.

The usual transfer mode is Binary but you can select the ASCII mode if for one reason or another your server need it.

 

Finally provide the root folder of your connection. If you are authorized, you will be able to create sub folders from this root. This will help to keep your remote folder correctly organized.

 

Click the Test connection to check your entries.

If the connection is successful the following message is displayed

If you click the Save configuration the setup will be saved and used later to upload your pictures to this server.
