Using scanner |

The other aspect of Just After Shot is the ability to acquire digitalized images (or documents) from a scanner.
Scanners attached to your system are listed on the Options menu tool bar.
From the Scanner toolbar you can select the scanner you wish to use (if more than one are available). From the popup menu attached to the arrow Scanner tool bar
When you click the
You can create a new session, open (and completing) an existing session or simply scan the picture without managing any session.
If you have already define a Repository, this one is used to fill up the destination folder. If the destination folder is empty or if you wish to save images in another place click the small folder button to browse you computer and select a folder. If you have selected an existing session, the Destination folder will be filled up by the session folder and the destination folder edit zone turned to read only.
You can set the date to stamp the image file. You can select the date of the day, or select a date.
Provide a caption for the image.
Click The Image tab to access to the image editor.
If you have selected the Scanner Options the panel is displayed
From this panel you can select the Colors, the Resolution and define a coordinate frame. Please note, not all scanner drivers allow to define a frame. If a frame is defined, the driver will ignore it. (colors and resolution are read from the driver capabilities)
You are now ready to start the Transfer.
Click the Transfer green arrow button
At this point the image is in memory and has not been yet saved.
From the editor bar you can access to the preview menu attached to the
Fit : the size of the image is adapted to the image editor size. The aspect ratio is kept up. Real size : the image is displayed in full size (1:1) . Scrollbars are available for scrolling the image Flip horizontally : mirrors the image across the horizontal axis. Flip vertically : mirrors the image across the vertical axis. Rotate : the image is rotated from left to right. Rotate counter clockwise : rotate the image from right to left.
Crop selection : image size is reduced to the selection Copy to clipboard : image is copied to the clipboard and can be pasted to any other application. Create new image from selection : a new image is created (but not saved) from the selection. The current image is lost.
Resample image : the image is resized with the width and height (in pixels) you supply in the dialog box displayed
Click OK to resample the picture. Gray scale : image is grayed

If you are not satisfied with the changes done you can use the undo redo button on the editor toolbar.
Now grant a name to the picture and click the If you have chosen to create a new session, the Destination folder edit zone is turned to read only. All subsequent scanned images will be stored in the same folder.
