In the previous chapter we have seen how to deal with the session list and how to process all or selected pictures.

But when a session is open you can also work on a particular image.

 

Click the Image tab

From the tool bar you can :

access the preview menu
navigate through the session using the green arrow buttons
save any change to the original file
save modified picture in a different file
undo or redo changes
reload the original image
choose a drawing selection tool (square, polygon, circle, lasso)

Image :

Fit : the size of the image is adapted to the image editor size. The aspect ratio is kept up.

Real size : the image is displayed in full size (1:1) . Scrollbars are available for scrolling the image

Flip horizontally : mirrors the image across the horizontal axis.

Flip vertically : mirrors the image across the vertical axis.

Rotate : the image is rotated from left to right.

Rotate counter clockwise : rotate the image from right to left.

Set Image as wallpaper : the current image is used as desktop wallpaper.

Selection : you must first draw a selection with the mouse. From the toolbar you can click the jas_033button to choose a selection tool (square, polygon, circle, lasso).

Crop selection : image size is reduced to the selection

Copy to clipboard : image is copied to the clipboard and can be pasted to any other application.

Create new image from selection : a new image is created (but not saved) from the selection. The current image is lost.

 

Resample

Resample image : the image is resized with the width and height (in pixels) you supply in the dialog box displayed

Click OK to resample the picture.

Gray scale : image is grayed

 

Quick fix : a bunch of functions to adjust automatically the colors and intensity of the pictures.  Fix can be applied to selection.

Remove red eyes

Auto equalize 1st method

Auto equalize 2nd method

Auto equalize colors

Auto white

Gray world

 

You can link up several fix methods.

If you are not satisfied with the result you can undo or redo the changes.
