When a session is displayed you can access to a preview menu and perform a wide variety of actions from the
Rotate : the selected images are rotated from left to right. Rotate counter clockwise : selected images are rotated from right to left.
Resample
You can resample All images or Only selected images
The Resample dialog box lets you to select the size (if Keep aspect ratio is checked the height is automatically updated when you change the width and reciprocally). You can select a folder where to copy the resampled pictures. If you check the Create new session the modified pictures will be grouped in a new session. This is very useful if you wish to send these pictures to a friend. If the Destination folder is the same as the one where originals are stored the picture name will be prefixed by a R.
Grayed : you can gray scale pictures.
You can gray scale All images or Only selected images
Then you are prompted to create or not a new session.
Next step is the folder selection.
Pictures are grayed and file name is prefixed with a G.
If you wish to rename these files use the Rename function available from the Files menu item.
Red eyes : remove red eyes. Select pictures to process and click Red eyes. (You will find more functions from the Image tab)
Remove from session : selected files are removed from the session. Images are not deleted. Select all : all files are selected Unselect all : all files are unselected Invert selection : selected files are unselected, unselected files are selected Stamp files : this function is useful for all ready copied files. Microsoft Windows XP wizard stamps files with the date of the day. Tamp files function will help you to restore original date and time. You can choose between the Today date, the Exif date or a given date. All files included in this section are stamped. Rename files : use this function to rename files already copied to your disk.
Create new session from current : a new session is created from selected pictures. This is useful if you wish to group some particular shots. Upload to FTP : if you have defined an FTP server (see Tools Ftp setup) files can be uploaded to the defined URL.
Before uploading your files you can request the program to create a new folder or/and create an information file with a comment you provide and a list of files. If you click Yes the following dialog box is displayed :
You can provide a folder name. This folder will be created in the folder of the URL and files will be uploaded here. A comment can also be added. If you click the exit button, folder and comment will be ignored.
When the upload stats a status bar appears showing the progress of the process. If you wish to stop the upload just click the red cross button on the status bar.
Backup to CD/DVD : all pictures will be burned to a CD or DVD. If a burner is found you must choose how files will be kept. We recommend to use CD-R or DVD-R (see Suggested organization to preserve your pictures). If you use RW medium don't format it or process to a full erase if it is already formatted.
Ignore folder : files will be burnt on the CD/DVD root (not recommended if you plan to store more than one session on this medium) Keep entire folder name : the full path will be created on the medium (except of course drive letter) Keep only parent folder name : a path using the last sub folder name of the original path will be created on the medium.
Zip session : The zip session function creates a compressed zip file of all or selected images in the session.
Then you are prompted to select a destination folder and a name for your zip file. By default the folder is My Dcouments and the zip file name the session name or nickname, if any.
When the zip file has been built this message is displayed. If you click Email zip file now option the zip file will be attached to an email message. This option is only compatible with a MAPI email software compliant such as Outlook Express, Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird. If you use an HTML based email client like Yahoo, Hotmail... you must manually attach the zip file to your message.
Copy to : The Copy to function is useful to copy a session to another destination such as an external hard disk or a network drive. If you have already defined a Backup destination it will be used by default, otherwise the Browse for folder dialog box is displayed. Select the folder you wish to use. Before clicking OK, open the preview menu from the top left bitmap and save this folder as your default backup definition. We recommend to define a root folder such as X:\Backup pictures. Session will be copied here with their folder name.
Copy can be done using 3 modes : ignore session folder : images are stored in the destination folder (not recommended for a backup) Keep entire session folder name : the entire session folder name will be created as sub folder of the selected destination. Keep only parent folder name : the last sub folder name of the entire session path name will be used to create a sub folder in the destination folder.
If you wish to copy pictures to another destination check the Change the destination folder option to select a new one.
When the copy is done the message shows the result Check the Display folder option to display the Windows Explorer.
The session is displayed using the full screen A timer will advance automatically each picture. You can increase or decrease the delay. just click the + keystroke to increase and - to decrease. The timer can be paused by clicking the Pause key. When the timer is paused you can navigate through the session using the following keys : Home : to go to the first picture End : to go to the last picture Right arrow : to go to the next picture Left arrow : to go back to the previous picture
The Exif comment (if any) otherwise the filename is displayed in green. You can hide it by pressing Ctrl+H , press again Ctrl+H to show it again. You can move the label using : Ctrl+up arrow : top left Ctrl+down arrow : bottom right Ctrl+left : left Ctrl+right : right

In session mode you can also drag and drop any pictures from the session thumbnails to any software accepting drag and drop.
